Thank You

sing a new song 1

I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Psalm 34:1

         Up or down, high or low, there is never a reason to withhold your thanks from God. Throughout the circumstances of life it always seems easier to praise and be thankful when all is going well but it is in the midst of hardship that we must dig deep and life our voices to him. Remembering all that  He has done for us. Knowing the character of who God is. Every day, every minute; thank God.

Psalm 100 (NIV):

1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.

2 Worship the Lord with gladness;

come before him with joyful songs.

3 Know that the Lord is God.

It is he who made us, and we are his;

we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving

and his courts with praise;

give thanks to him and praise his name.

5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;

his faithfulness continues through all generations.

A heart of thanksgiving does usher us into His presence and brings with it an uplifting as we take our focus off of what our eyes see and we rehearse the goodness of God. Very often times of thanksgiving, praise and worship help to change our perspective, allow us to see hope and give us strength to keep moving forward.

The Message Bible translation of the above Psalm starts with the words, ” On your feet now—applaud God!”. That is so apt. Show Him your appreciation. We know He can do it and so does He but we must never take His presence in our lives for granted.

Thank you, Lord!

Father, Thank you for just being there. The knowledge that you are never far from me is enough to bring peace and gratitude. Help me to see you and be mindful of you in the midst of every day. That where ever I find myself,  my heart and my mouth will give you praise.

In the name of Jesus. Amen.
